Welcome to the EBEN Finland spring seminar from 3 pm to 4pm, Tue 14.4.2026

Spring seminar theme: “Petty Corruption in Healthcare: Unveiling Ethically Grey Zones,” with Professor (Emerita) Dr. Anna-Maija Lämsä and Professor Raminta Pučėtaitė from Kaunas University of Technology.

The presentation will focus on the project Petty Corruption Unveiling in the Lithuanian Healthcare Sector: Individual Choices, Institutional Patterns, and Anti-Corruption Policy Perspectives (PULSE), funded by the Research Council of Lithuania (2024–2027), as well as on findings from a literature review of empirical studies on petty corruption in healthcare in democratic societies.

Speakers‘ bios:

Professor (Emerita) Dr. Anna-Maija Lämsä has served as Professor of Human Resource Management and is currently working as Chief Researcher in the PULSE project at Kaunas University of Technology, which focuses on petty corruption in healthcare. She has built her academic career at the School of Business and Economics, University of Jyväskylä, where she has also held the position of Vice Dean of Education. Professor Lämsä has extensive experience in research project management and international collaboration. Her research focuses particularly on business ethics and gender within the fields of human resource management and leadership. She has published widely in leading international scientific journals and has received several awards in recognition of her research and academic career.

Dr Raminta Pučėtaitė is Professor and Principal Investigator of Public Governance group at Kaunas University of Technology Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities. She is also Adjunct Professor of Management, Organizational Ethics and Human Resource Management at Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics in Finland. Her research focuses on organizational ethics, organizational trust, ethical issues in human resource management, research and academic ethics, social entrepreneurship, petty corruption and inclusive education. Dr Pučėtaitė has published in national and international volumes, including Journal of Business Ethics, Business Ethics, the Environment & Responsibility, Baltic Journal of Management, Journal of Baltic Studies, Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management: An International Journal and co-edited three books on the impact of organisational ethics on sustainable innovations (Academic Publishing, 2015), research and academic ethics in Lithuania (LSTC, 2015) as well as university social responsibility (Palgrave, 2021). She has acted as PI and a researcher in national (Research Council of Lithuania funding) and international (EC Horizon2020 and Horizon Europe, COST Action funding) research projects.
